Which again brings up the question of how hot the pour is and long the fall is. If the pour is 5000F then it is no problem, the metal will certainly retain enough heat, if the pour is just enough to melt the metal at 2700F then it probably would not retain enough heat and the rod of iron would just impact and fall away. Maybe his Skills are helping magically keep the metal fluid when it ought not to be, but I can't help questioning it. Either way, the point is now moot: the next chapter is out.

yes but it should still retain most of it's heat should it has been only a second

Carl Mason

I get all that, but I can't let it go. Liquid iron being poured through freezing cold air, through arctic condition air, containing ice mana that further heightens the FREEZING conditions, for probably twenty of thirty feet would lose heat quickly. It does of course require imbuing considerable heat energy into the metal to make it turn liquid, but it would still lose it quickly. I can't help wondering whether it would retain enough heat to cause this reaction on contact under such conditions. Burn, yes, it would undoubtedly still be hot enough to burn, I don't doubt it would still he hot. Would it still be this hot?

Love the creativity

you must not forget that although this is a magical world it is still heavily tied to real physics as explained with many things that yes magic and skills can bend the rules alot but never break them take for instance when people talk about a vessel and stats take a child and a grown up adult no matter what it would take a insane amount of stats for a child to win in battle with an adult say the adult have 50 in all the stats and the child have 200 and take skills into the account it is still a big uphill battle that the child would lose because of physics and the vessel difference same with magic its strong yes but not physics breaking as in glowing hot metal isn't gonna cool down fast since it holds heat really well and this is happening in seconds with red hot metal falling down atop the ice giant metal no matter how cold it is isn't gonna cool down that fast and when contact comes yea physics rule out any magic rule bending when force to shove logic aside :)

Carl Mason

How hot would the iron have to be to make it through the air and it's ice mana and freezing effects to still be hot enough to have this effect? Or is the placement of the vault door closer than I am thinking?

Caleb Reusser

That was ingenious.

BubblyGhost

Hell yeah

Alex Galaitsis

Woo! Portal hacks!

Was expecting portal shenanigans but thermal shock could do the trick too.

Bonobo

Thanks for the chapter, loved it!

jean

holy s.......

ThoMiCroN

It’s only from the thermal shock ?

Nice! That'll be worth a level or 2... Will Kai try for its core?
