Packs such as Seasons are no longer required, but rather recommended. Some features of the mod are pack-dependent, which means if the required pack for that feature is not installed, the feature itself will be disabled.
The console is functional if City Living EP03 is installed. If not, it's mostly for decoration.
PATRON-ONLY FEATURES
Cinema Business (Requires GP03): This is a functional Cinema Business that can be run by you or a NPC.
Sims Film Festival: This is a 12h event held in Magnolia Blossom on Mondays. During the event Sims will be able to watch premiere movies before their general release, grab some swag, make friends, meet some celebrities, grab a snack at the food stands, pick up some handy items and fan t-shirts at the merch stall! Have fun and enjoy the show! (Requires EP10)
Movie Lovers Club: This Club Is For Movie Lovers. Everything About Movies. Get together to watch movies and discuss the hot movies you Sim just saw.
PUBLIC FEATURES
Turn On TV: Using this interaction will turn on and lock the TV on the desired movie. Other sims will not be able to change channels or turn the TV off autonomously.
Movie Premiere Holidays (Requires EP05): This feature will scan all the already installed Movies and check if any of them contains the "Premiere" tag. For each Movie found, it will create a custom Movie Premiere holiday in your Sim's calendar. During the holiday, the sim will be able to watch the premiere movie, and earn aspiration points.
Movie Night Event: You can create Movie Night events in your calendar and invite other sims to watch movies. The main goal is to have Sims watch a Movie, but there are also minor goals, in order to reach the Golden Reward. During the event, the sims will be able to talk about the event, like bragging, complaining, etc. Being social during the event also helps with reaching the Golden Reward. After the event ends (successfully), the sim gets a reward in their build-buy inventory.
Invite to Watch a Movie: Your sim will be able to invite other Sims to watch a movie with, but he/she will also get random invitations from other sims to go watch a movie at their place. After the event ends (successfully), the sim gets a reward in their build-buy inventory. You can use this feature either by using the Sim's phone or by clicking on any of the sims in your Sim Relationship Panel.
Movie Gender Preferences: Sims will discover whether they like a particular movie genre or not, after watching a movie. If they like or dislike that movie genre, they will also be able to discuss it with other sims who like or dislike the same genre. They will get a bad moodlet and their fun level will drop if they watch a movie genre they don't like. Each preference is configurable in Create-A-Sim mode too.
Settings Menu: Players will be able to disable specific features from the mod, or configure them to their needs.
Installation
Download the file below and extract its content into your Sims 4 mods directory (typically C:\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods).
Updating
Same as installing, but when asked to overwrite existing files, press Yes.
PS: Zipped files come with a structured folder and sub-folders, to make installation easier and to avoid creating duplicates. If you copy TanksMods from the zip file and paste it in your Sims 4 Mods directory, it will automatically create the main directory (TanksMods) and its sub-folders (DVDs) for you or overwrite your existing ItsMovieTime mod or movies for you (when updating)
Remember to delete localthumbcache.package and avatarcache.package in your Sims 4 directory after installing/updating mods.

I really wanted a mod that has videos that doesn't interfere with the already in game channels/movies and I've been playing with this mod since I left the first comment. I'm really enjoying it, again great job and keep up the good work.

Like I said, all I need is the ability to purchase the DVD interaction. My way of thinking is that making the sims purchase the DVD would give the sim a goal to work towards especially if the sim cannot afford the purchase at the time but yet have a whim to watch the latest release. It reminds me of when DVDs were popular years ago and if we wanted to watch the latest releases, we had to save towards it and then we head off excitedly to the DVD shop to make our purchase.

Hi Ryan, yes, i had a lot of people who complained about the complexity of watching a dvd, so i removed those functions, like you said, making it a bit less realistic. Ill see what i can do about it, probably making an addon for those that want to use the mod in a more realistic way.

Hi Tank, I was wondering if you could add back in the purchase DVD interaction. Your last update broke that immersion for me because I had opened a DVD store in the game selling the physical DVDs, but now I am no longer able to do that because the dvds are not available. Also, i find that with your latest update, sims are now able to watch all of the DVDs for free whereas before they had to buy it to watch it. I have also noticed that sims are still able to stream all of the DVDs even if they do not have an internet connection and or living off the grid, surely this is not realistic. Could you please address these issues, but my main concern is the removal of the purchase DVD interaction. I thank you.

Hi Tank I've just discovered your great mod1 If you take requests, may you consider adding movies like The Devil Wears Prada, Clueless, Legally Blonde, Marie Antoinette, The Holiday, Home Alone 2 and possibly some period movies like Pride and Prejudice or Emma (2020)? Love this app, but wished I could get all the vids, including the SFW-HD. It says the creator has paused their membership and it won't allow me to update to the full membership. The app and the vids are still awesome, though. Keep up the good work.
