Basemental Universal Venues or Zerbu's Venue Changes

While I have no interest in favoring any of the two modders as they both have been doing a great job at keeping the Sims community happy, I wanted to use this post only to clarify how these two mods work and clear up any confusion.
You only need Zerbu's Venue Changes, as it doesn't need updating unless an expansion pack comes up, while Basemental Universal Venues needs constant updating for every new venue any modder creates/changes.
They both do the same thing, adding new custom venues to the game venue list. The only difference is that Zerbu's Venue Changes adds new custom venues on the go without the need for Zerbu to update the mod and add new venues to the existing venue list, while Basemental Universal Venues needs constant updating and takes long till he updates it. Which is why for Sims 4 Tycoon i didnt mention Basemental Universal Venue as a requirement but rather Zerbu's Venue Changes, because it works like a plug-and-play.
So whenever a mod you want to install tells you that Basemental Universal Venues is required, you may safely go for Zerbu's Venue Changes.
For example, you can use Zerbu's Venue Changes and Basemental Casino/Drugs and it works, even though Basemental says that Basemental Universal Venue is required for those two mods.

I am going to try that because I had to get rid of a mod I wanted because they didn't use Basemental's...so I hope it works...

I've always used Zerbu's. I remember reading somewhere that zerbu made it so it's blank in a venue setting, so literally any venue will work. You also need to make sure not to use LittleMsSam's either.

Well I used to use Zerbu, and now for whatever reason I can't anymore. Basemental works wonderful for me now.

Thank you for this, I never really understood the difference between the two and have always defaulted to Basemental's because I used BD and none of Zerbu's other mods. I'm going to go ahead and switch!

Oh wow -- good to know. I've opted out of a couple of mods because it required Zerbu's and I had Basemental and I knew they conflicted. Thank you for this information!
