2025 Status Update
🕑 Added 2025-01-17 20:17:05 +0000 UTCHey everyone, I know it's been a bit since my last post, so I wanted to check in today to talk about how development is progressing.
First of all, though, I'd like to give a big thanks to bun for making a new profile picture for me! I'll have a full resolution version of the image as well as a link to their twitter page attached to this post if any of you are interested in those.
Anyways, regarding development on Fataclysm - it's been fairly slow-going for the last month, but now that the holidays are thoroughly over, I'm going to hopefully be able to commit much more time to working on the game.
At this point, Leona's mechanics in combat have been largely finished. They'll still likely be tweaked somewhat in the future as I figure out the balance and get some help with testing, but her core skills are all finished. Here's a little sample of some gameplay with Leona in the party, along with a preview of some of the excellent icons that bun has made for her:
Hopefully you all are excited to learn what her exact capabilities are in the near future! Considering I have yet to explain many of Leona's core mechanics publicly, though, I'm sure you all are at least a bit confused about some of what's happening in this screenshot. So, my plan is to give proper introductions and explanations to each of her abilities over the course of my next few posts (which should come quite a bit more quickly than this one).
Before that happens, I'd love to hear any thoughts or speculation from you all about what Leona might be able to do. There are obviously quite a few hints present in this picture, but I'm interested to see if any of you will be able to guess it.

Ok. I also found a bug. When the Overseer is immobile and has called for reinforcements beforehand, the game will not go to the next turn, meaning the enemies can keep attacking with no way to fight back, thus leading to a game over.

Her event isn't any rarer than the others, but it can't be encountered if she's already possessing one of your party members in that run.

I have a question. I did over a dozen runs into the palace at least yet I only encountered the Gourmand twice. Is she a rare event?
