November update...

We were hoping to get the Saving Christmas video up in the middle of November, but last week my grandma passed away, so I'm flying home for a week. My grandma was so dope. She's one huge reason I have the sense of humor I do. Not to be all parasocial-ish, but she also thought it was really cool that people responded to my tweets haha. If anyone else has lost someone close this past year, I'm feeling solidarity with you.
This, on top of the fact that we're moving this month, means I won't be able to get a video out in November. I AM going to try to do a livestream from our new place a few days before Thanksgiving. I'll have more updates and stuff in the near future.
The Saving Christmas video will have to wait until December, which makes more sense anyway! We're planning to do two videos out in either Dec or Jan to catch up, and I'm really excited about them!!

Hi, Maggie Mae! I'm so sorry to hear of your loss! Grannies are the best! I've often wondered, if they have a secret ability to see the good in their grandchildren because they don't take them for competition in the oidipal sense, as parents often do. My grannies have both been dead for three decades now, but let me share one of the fondest memories I have of my mother's mother. Back then long time ago, she had managed to spare enough money to buy a new washing machine, and the old one had to be disposed. I was there helping, a twenty-something unsecure youngster to take it away. Together with my four or five aunts (her family was big) we started to remove the old washing machine. She lived in a tiny apartment in a city-subsized block of flats and there was not much room, so I decided to lift the machine on my shoulder and carry it away. The aunts made all kinds of alarming noises, but the last thing I heard when carrying the machine away was my grandmother's stern voice: "Calm down girls, he is a grown man, after all!" I don't know if I have ever felt so good hearing those words. I realize this is a very old-fashioned story and today I feel bad of thwarting a communal effort, but god how those words made me feel good back then. She was born when Finland was still a grand duchy in the Russian empire and her values were different. Sorry for taking so much space. I wish you all the best and look forward to the Christmas video.
