Just wanted to give you an update on upcoming videos, especially since it's taking longer that I hoped to get the next one out. I got a bit burned out on Zack Snyder, so the next video will be a comparison of the themes in Breaking Bad and Punishment Park, two of my favorite pieces of media! We're trying to wrap up that video asap, and it will be up for patrons early next month. This will be part of a new series of videos tentatively called "Double Feature" where I'll be comparing two pieces of media. Another episode we are planning (after the Snyder series is wrapped up) is a comparison of The Who's Tommy, and Pink Floyd's The Wall. There are some fascinating connections to be made there! I swear, The Wall *directly* comments on Tommy, in a really interesting way. And I'm hoping to collaborate with another really cool channel on that one.
I feel bad not putting out a video every month, but I got a little gig that pushed things back a few weeks. Can't talk about the gig yet, but I'll let you know what it was as soon as I can.
After the Punishment Park/Breaking Bad vid I'll be doing the final video in my Zack Snyder series, which will be about gender in the Snyderverse, plus some wrap-up thoughts and conclusions, and Zack Snyder's love of Richard Nixon. It will also include a special guest appearance by the wonderful Eric Sophia, who will be giving their take on Snyder as a non-binary person. You make such incredible, thoughtful and information-dense videos, the pace always feels very fast, no matter how long it takes for new one to come out. And wow I'm looking forward to the non-binary take with mixed fear and excitement! As nonbinary person and with Snyder's track record there's going to be some heavy feelings... But I feel secure knowing the topic will be handled by smart and compassionate people.

We absolutely LOVE Floyd's "The Wall" & The Who, and can't wait to see that one! Honestly, as an album speaking against fascism and alienation on both the individual and socitial scale, at a time when we're arguing about literally building the wall again, why is this prescient album/movie nowhere to be found in the popular discourse?
Art takes time, not timelines. Looking forward to whatever content you make, whenever you make it. Also thx for bringing on Melina Pendulum, what a great creator.

I was just about to ask why Breaking Bad is something you'd turn to for a respite from Snyder...but then I looked up Punishment Park (and I now recall I watched Diamanda Hagan's video on that some years ago). And....I just say I find you admirably crazy. If I'm looking for escapism, I'll disappear into Miyazaki, Wes Anderson, or the Criterion Channel's very fluffiest mid-century youth-centered films. But, I guess this is why you are the professional essayist: you love to bang your head against walls until they inevitably break. Wait, Richard Nixon???WhaTtheFUcK?!
