Thanks for the reply. I am bring them into Roll20. I understand why the values are different per map, that is no problem. I will use the functionality in Roll20 that will allows me to adjust the grid in Roll20 to the map grid.

Sean Ryland

That would be much faster! The dimensions in inches are in the file name and the dimensions in pixels are in the file details. And to think, I deal with numbers all day every day and didn't see that *facepalm*

Jeff Todd

Hey Sean! One way I know you can determine the PPI is to take the dimensions of the map (i.e. 44 x 52, usually found in the original post) and then select either the height or width and then get the pixel values of the file (by mousing over the image on your machine, should come up along with file size), then divide the appropriate pixel value for width (i.e. 4280) by the width grid dimension (i.e. 44) and that should tell you the PPI of that specific map. Feel free to come jump on the Discord, too, and we can chat through it in real time.

If I was going to print some of the smaller maps myself, it would be really helpful the scaling factor to get the grid to be the correct size for D&D minis. I can open the 300PPI in GIMP and then export as a PDF to get the proper scaling for each one, but I don't see an easier way to get them to print the proper size without knowing the scale in pixels per inch or something similar. Any advice or program recommendations would be welcome!

Jeff Todd

Hey Tyrone! Well, the pixel values per square will likely change map to map. I don't use the same Pixels/Points Per Inch value when exporting the maps each time. I use the one that will get that given file closest to the 5MB or 10MB maximums for Roll20 Free/Paid, which means they vary, because the complexity of the maps vary. If there's a specific map you're interested in, I can probably deduce the PPI, but what were you wanting to use the values for? Roll20? Something else? Maybe there's another value that will be helpful to provide to you?

Tyrone Tait

Hi, what pixel size are your squares?

Sam Kahle

Worked perfectly, thanks for the quick response. Loving all the maps!

Jeff Todd

Hi Sam! Thanks for letting me know! I've corrected the link, and it should now take you to the correct page! =)

Hello, the Tier 3 Wyrmspine Tavern link leads to the LMoP #2 pack

Poisonorchid

All good now! Thank you

Jeff Todd

Thanks for noticing! Try now, and let me know if it's fixed for you. =)

Poisonorchid

Hi, the Tier 1 Wyrmspine Tavern link seems to be directing towards the Tier 3 post

Janai Limtiaco

Thank you! That was totally helpful :)

Jeff Todd

Hi Janai! No problem, all of these maps are yours to download and you don't pay anything for them. You pledge an amount ($5) per map creation (and you can set a monthly limit) and that is what you get charged when I release a new map. And everything gets charged at the end of the month. So, if I release 5 maps and you signed up for $5/map, you would get charged $25 OR however much your limit was ($5, $10, etc...). Even if you set a limit, you get free access to all past maps and all of the rewards. Does that help?

Janai Limtiaco

also because I am a noob to patreon for maps, is it $5 per download of a pack?

Janai Limtiaco

Oh, thank you for this!

Dr. Rafael Balbi

It's good
