This is my interpretation of Gnomengarde, an alternative battlemap with a bit more focus on the details of the interior. As the settlement is ruled by two kings, I wanted to better incorporate some artistry and representation of that lifestyle between the King's Chambers and Throne Room, as well as better flesh out the areas to feel more "lived in" and "alive" with regards to the living quarters, workshop, kitchen and other areas.
I also made a token for the Barrel Crab that can be used in VTT, in case your players are like mine, and will ABSOLUTELY get inside one.

My dwarf was given a barrelcrab by the gnomes as part of her reward. Fraktore mounted one of the crossbows on the top, and Dabbledob created an alternative undercarriage of wheels so it can go 25ft on roads and trails. Its now being driven all around the district on adventures, and the dwarf even sleeps in it.

Another great map, love the detail and how it adds to the depth of the story or any changes one wants to make to it. Throwing in a battlecrab engagement may be needed now, perhaps with another spooked gnome everyone around him is possessed by the mimic and they just need to destroy the battlecrab to knock him back into reality sort of thing. Any other DoIP maps in development? If so, I can't wait to see them.

Oooh, I see. I love the idea of playing it like the Aliens movie with multiple mimics, maybe some juvenile ones as well!

Basically, one of the [2] Gnome Kings has gone mad out of fear from a Mimic that has entered the settlement and is slowly terrorizing/killing the gnomes. The gnomes are also presented as somewhat xenophobic/reclusive, with some strange encounters that I wasn't necessarily in love with (i.e. one crazy gnome at a chokepoint basically attacking the party until their "contraption" is destroyed), but I believe it's intended to be presented in the scenario of everyone being stressed out that "something" is killing people in the settlement and they're not sure what. I would probably run this map/encounter with an "Alien" (as in the Movie) like feel, potentially beefing up the Mimic (or adding a few with a MOTHER Mimic) depending on how tough my characters were and how many there were.

This is super cool! I'm not very familiar with Gnomengarde but now I definitely will read up on that adventure :)
