Steve: Look, just do this job for now. It can't be so bad that you can't put up with it for a few weeks until you find something better.Nate: Dude, you know how bad shit broke with me and Tracy. This is a nightmare scenario for me! I'm in JAWS and my boat is not nearly big enough.
Steve: What I know is that she's a manager, so she's under more scrutiny than you are. If she treats you like shit, just go over her head and file a complaint.
Nate: Ugh. Maybe.
Steve: It'll be fine. I'll see you around three.
Nate (leaning into the car): Abandoning me in shark-infested waters? Terrible maritime protocol.
Steve: The Captain of THIS boat needs some more fucking sleep.

He has come a long way. OG TG had a lot of assholes for Nate to put up with. Steve's still kind of an asshole, but he's loyal and he's not stupid. That allows room for Nate to have some stupid, as a treat.
