I absolutely loved hearing Mike say "He was cooked, and everyone knew it." Hilarious

Holy cow does the look back on Timothy Warner's tenure feel like a targeted dig on current events, except that this series started coming out before most of the mirrored events in American politics.

Interesting to know that the slang terminology of someone being "cooked" has survived into the late 25th and early 26th century :D Goodbye, Timothy Werner. No one worth the oxygen they breathe will miss you

I’m glad everyone else is on the same page so far. It felt like knowing irony from futuremike because we “know” everything is about to burst into flames

How lovely that everything has been settled. Not unanimously, no deal ever is, but still a clear endorsement to the way forward, and surely everyone will abide by it in good faith. I haven't finished reading about it, but I was studying the French Revolution and see the clear parallels with its near conclusion in the late Summer of 1791. Even the fiasco of the Flight to Varennes didn't stop the forging of a new path for France which everyone can live with, and surely the same will happen on Mars. Now I'm going to take a large swig of my flavoured CaffStim and turn the page to the chapter about Jacques Pierre Brissot as he clearly puts a neat capstone on everything...

The end of this episode is like the scene in Final Fantasy 6 at the Village of Thamasa, where the party and General Leo broker a peace with the Empire , and the screen begins to fade to credits with everyone waving happily. Next week, we get what comes after.
