I love that you shared this, thanks a lot! I love seeing that I'm not the only one who's early versions of things are... a bit rough around the edges. Thanks.

How did you figure out your editing process and how has it changed over the years?
Emil Kampp
I appreciate how much work goes into correctly scripting your videos!

Grey, in your research, did you find any groups trying to fix this? make a more secure national ID than the SSN? I'm thinking like your voting series of videos, it'd be cool to see "alternatives to SSN" or something.

Off the topic, I know, but are we going to get video about free will?
The Norwegian National Registry: http://www.skatteetaten.no/en/person/National-Registry/This-is-the-National-Registry/ (Still no ID card, though.)

You should hear about Icelands "Kennitala" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kennitala "The completeness of the National Register has eliminated the need for the country to conduct a regular census: population statistics can be obtained by simply querying the database." -Wikipedia

It's nice to see your process from early draft to finished video. Thanks!

Also, as an American, I think I'm a corner case. I don't have an SSN, have never had one, and aren't a member of a religion. You just 'simply' have to have not been born in the US, not been brought up by American parents, and never have worked there. This also confuses various institutions, like the IRS etc.
The effort of me reading this mess, or of you structuring it into a video? You're being ambiguous, robot!
CGP Grey
The effort is worth it!
Can confirm: I do find it slightly more enjoyable to watch the video than to read this.
