Grey I want to be on your side here and for the most part I am but the main thing I can agree with with the people who are mad at you is that you didn't just ask Chris to take down the videos. It feels a little targeted with the timing and the YouTube comments stuff. I would hope it is a coincidence but it may not be. I do think that in this case you are in the right legally but I feel that the action you took was extreme and you both could have handled it better.

Hi Grey! On youtube, I'm 'Curly G Cradle Rock' This family name has been passed down for YEARS. Literally, like almost 2 years now. It doesn't help that the one bird who can speak english historically hated Sandlr for some reason. Now that that's done, a quick question, if I may. What in the ding dang heckin' frigg (oh skuuuse me there, miss(pardon my language) is going on with these goobers in the comments? Hard to imagine what you would even be capable of doing in terms of would make people comment in such an Emo manner.

I agree, I haven't pulled my support as a Bonnie bee yet because I'm waiting on whether or not Grey will say something about this. As VTH said in his most recent update video, the ball is in Grey's court. We will see if he does take this to the court system. If he does, and doesn't at least give us his side of the story then I'll take my membership from Grey and give it to VTH. I too was a supporter for years but this situation is maddening

Agreed. I don’t want to leap to the conclusion that CGP Grey, a creator I’ve followed since… Death to Pennies as featured on Albino Blacksheep, would do something like this for no reason than petty spite. We don’t have (afaik) his side of the story, if there is one, only a few anti-reactor posts on Twitter. We’ve had one side of the story, and that’s all. But this looks bad. Exceedingly terrible, in fact. If Grey is doing this, or letting this be done in his name, because… he doesn’t like videos reacting to his videos? Abusing YouTube’s execrable copyright system like this to make an example out of a particularly visible creator? … Not only can I not in good conscience support someone who does something like that, I can only regret the years I’ve spent supporting him. For all the content and knowledge and entertainment I’ve enjoyed, I feel I owe him at least a chance to defend or explain himself. But if there isn’t a good explanation, if there is no justification for what’s happened, if the only conclusion is that Grey is the sort of person who would do this … ? There are myriad wonderful content creators out there who haven’t taken the radioactive chainsaw of YouTube copyright system abuse to smaller creators for no justified reason.

I understand the frustration of CGP Grey to reaction videos in general. I've seen plenty that add absolutely nothing to the original content, but VTH is definitely not one of those channels. I chose to think that CGP Grey may have just imposed the strikes without having watched or realised what VTH's reaction videos are truly like. Yes, where is this coming from? I get it reaction videos are the scourge of YouTube but VTH does it different. He adds quite a bit of info and adds his perspective as a historian as well. The first CPR strike on the flag bit I get, but doing the second one moments after he appealed? Yeah that is a bit petty.

As a lifelong Virginian, I laughed out loud and spewed soda all over my laptop at your comments on our 'scandalous' flag. Oddly, I don't entirely disagree, tho. :) But I live in Texas now, and I have to completely agree in all respects with your assessment of our flag, as well. I have never seen a state so completely obsessed with their own flag. Although, since we DID get a 'Superior' on our grade, do you BLAME us?? I came up with a redesign for the Pennsylvania flag, but nobody pays any attention to me. It's a keystone in the middle with three stripes: green for the forests, blue for the rivers, and black for the coal mines.

Utah's beehive is for "industry". Really? From my understanding Utah and the beehive is very heavily tied to the Mormons settling there, and symbolized them deciding it was the "land of milk and honey". Visiting Utah it was always cringey seeing it on their highway signs and other government emblems. The original redesign flag got a lot of flack IIRC because it had the date that Mormons settled there, as if there was no one living there before they came and settled in Mexican territory.

I love this video! My family lives on a sailboat and we are a member of a Marina. Most marinas have their own flags called Burgees. Almost every Burgee I have seen is very simple and bold. You really should look into them for a possible video. Also, I'm a bit disappointed that this latest creation didn't once mention the absolutely S-Tier flag of PIRATES! My whole family just loved your Pirate videos....Branding!! I commented on YT as Mike Burgess btw.

Obviously time precluded this, but would have loved to see mention of Maine's alternative flag — namely, the 1901 State Flag, which is often seen around the state because many folks prefer its clearly superior (arguably A-tier) design. The state naval ensign is also a worthy contender, if they strike off the state name from the flag, of course ;-)
