Rust is that game for me, but I admit I really only watch videos by this one player named Wiljum. He’s got these great cinematic sequences and editing where he’s always doing fade outs and a “but little did I know…” Kind of thing. Might be more production value and his showmanship there.

Most PC Indy games. All sound really fun and I probably have them free from Epic, but my laptop etc. is upstairs and my consoles are downstairs on the big TV, soooooo… Also Golden Nuggets. Bit sticky but basically just packing peanuts.

Death Stranding. It has an interesting story, wild characters, and incredible graphics. But I can’t spend hours playing a walking simulator.

For me its final fantasy. I like the stories and will listen to them in the background but I'm not a fan of turn based video games.

EVE Online. Those stories about about corporate espionage, betrayal and galactic warfare are very exciting. But i would never want to play a game that feels like a second job and has a playerbase that appears to contain mostly sociopaths. And for the second question. Store bought american white bread. At least that way it has an actual use.

I just cant with most point and click adventures, but i often enjoy the stories they tell, so i really enjoy experiencing them with people who have played them before and therefore know the solutions beforehand

Elden Ring. I loved FromSoft, but something felt off and tedious about it. Didn't think it was worth my time, but then I discovered the competitive space. Now I can't get enough Elden Ring Bingo and Randomania. You couldn't pay me to play it myself though.

Not strictly video game related but tabletop games are the content I view from afar but don't play. Used to play DnD, Cyberpunk 2020 and WH40K when I was a kid but now don't have the time or a group to play with so I follow that kind of stuff in PC game adaptations and stuff like AiN and Critical Role.

I recently had an experience watching a friend play Call of Duty and that was interesting. I have no interest in playing any of the games (I’ve played II which didn’t have online multiplayer but that’s it) but this little character study was fascinating. He seemed to be doing really well, getting a solid 3:1 KDR…. Then he was moving towards a target player that was clearly marked on the screen and I was wondering why he didn’t shot them. He just kept moving forward until the player killed him. I asked why he didn’t shot the obviously marked player and he said he didn’t see them. I found this bizarre after watching him notch up kill streaks by killing players that were barely visible!

For me it's been Mortal Kombat, which I quite enjoyed as a wee teenager during its original trilogy but haven't got the skills or patience with online players to enjoy. Semi-related is Yahtzee's reviews of most anything that isnt an indie PC game. Love hearing about what goes into a great, mediocre, or even awful game and how they tickle Yahtzee's fancy even if I only rarely might actually buy one.

Controversially, I hold Elden Ring in high regard and considered it one of my favorite games of that year, but refuse to ever go back and try and beat it. I'm just not having fun.

Same on Dead by Daylight. Also, not a big FPS fan, but I find watching 2016’s Doom fascinating.

I have a lot of games I like but don't play, and a lot of media on similar lines; I'm a big baby about horror movies most of the time but I find them fun to talk and read about. Experiences are weird like that.

I'm very much with you on Dead by Daylight. I love horror but online multiplayer is a struggle. I also loved Helldivers 2 but a couple of kid interruptions quickly made me realize I can't play something that I can't pause anymore

Never played Dead By Daylight, but enjoy watching Jess's Twitch streams. The horror icons were the HOOK for me and learning the game mechanics felt like learning the rules of a horror movie, including the anxiety when the heroes are attacked. The old animal sanctuary description was eye opening for me.
