Just want to point out that Nicks interview with Salim is the best video game dev interview ever. Keeps it flowing and asks and brings up very unique things. I believe them trauma bonding helped greatly and would love more talks with Salim! Maybe it’s because I’ve been playing through Origins or something but I think the dude is a one of kind talent. Really awesome to listen to you guys talk deep about reaching the other side. His Colin interview was great too for that very reason. Very much looking forward to his next game and your next interviews Nick! Best Second Wind content next to the documentary imo

Excited to see all the new shows, rooting for the team. Second Wind / Yahtzee has been my first port of call for discovering great indies, I think you all got me into Disco Elysium, Outer Wilds, Obra Dinn, Golden Idol, all bangers. I'm sure this has already been thought about or suggested but my two cents on increasing Patreon revenue would be double down on podcasts - I'm sure you all see the numbers and have a much better idea than myself but aside from second wind all the other channels I subscribe to on Patreon are because I listen to their primary weekly podcast, and get a bonus weekly podcast because I'm a subscriber. I'm sure its tough to think of fitting another weekly podcast on peoples schedules but something lower effort like a gaming news reaction podcast (such as the one the guys at VGC do) that's more about the personalities than the news could be a good way of getting more eyes on the second wind creators, and then have the second part of the podcast (maybe with reactions to the biggest piece of news that week, or maybe something completely separate but hyped during the free episode) would be behind the paywall. Bigger top of funnel and ideally less effort than the video production (but please keep that up too!). Have been listening to Yahtzee and now the wider crew for years so will always be a supporter, excited to see how 2025 goes for the team.

Haven’t checked this out yet but looking forward to it. Love the transparency and commitment to crafted, non-sponsor-pleasing, and interesting content. New content is exciting! I would be most worried about sustainability. You all are definitely earning my $5 a month. Hope you all can stay afloat (and take occasional time off). Changes I’d suggest: 1) market your interviews better so it’s easier for us to know context or why they matter. 2) Time is a limiting factor for me. If I have 20 plus minutes I’m probably going to catch up on Andor, not watch a documentary about the making of a video game. It’s nice that you’re making them but that seems like an incredible amount of work! But if you’ve got a select audience or a funding source more power to you!

When I saw that Balatro introduction, I was honestly expecting it to reveal an Adventure is Nigh x Balatro collab in the same vein as the Among Us, Cyberpunk, Binding of Isaac, etc collabs in the past. Damn, I would used King Bonesy, Queen Beyonce, and Jack the DM all the time.
