Oh god, Marty as Gendo Ikari is disturbing. In seriousness, if Yahtzee’s theory of the Game Awards being about praising the establishment holds any water, then Clair Obscur might get robbed. It’s a game from a kiiiinda niche genre, made by a small team that broke off from a bloated triple-A company to make a genuine work of art. The ‘look what you can do when unshackled from the mega corp’ narrative might not sit well. I honestly think Yōtei will win, just because it’s considered safe.
