Just another little vent...
🕑 Added 2025-07-15 19:20:58 +0000 UTCI've never made a game until now! And though I love the story and my characters (they are my babies) I keep realizing I can never truly please everyone.
Whether it's the mcs DANG BALD HEAD LMAO, the way some people think Mac was too harsh on Jayce and should have been softer, Meena is either perfect or evil incarnate and should die...Jayce should be bullied more or treated nicer by mc, It's frustrating.
I know I cannot please everyone, but part of me WANTS to. I want Jayce to be perfect for everyone. Everyone tells me to make the game I want, but it's so hard to not want to make it perfect for everyone, too.
I guess I just want to put some things out there that will probably never change.
1. There will ALWAYS be an option for a "good" ending. For me, it's the true ending and I want Jayce to be happy in the end no matter what. Jayce will go through hardships but if you desire it, there will always be the option to have Jayce happy and loved and cared for and adored by you. There will also be kind and delicate soft scenes where Jayce feels so incredibly happy with you.
2. Regardless, there will always be scenes/endings made for those that like very very dark themes (Such as Meena completely mind breaking Jayce, Jayce kidnapping you and killing others, Jayce being subjected to blackmail, Murder of innocents, cheating etc-though jayce will never cheat-) and those might be hard to stomach, and some are optional but it has to happen. These scenes are how they are meant to be.
To continue this point, originally, the game was only going to have two endings. It was either going to be good or bad, Jayce either ended up with you happy or he killed himself. For me, when I planned this story, I only wanted the "green flag" version of Jayce and a happy ending. The "bad" ending, I'd tack on later, because I wanted the happy ending with a slightly insane Jayce.
After reading the desires of everyone, I have branched out to include MULTIPLE MULTIPLE endings and will continue to do so because I do want there to be levels of insanity, mayhem, hurt, love etc. Some people love dark and twisted and fucked up and nasty and BRUTAL, and some people like sweet and a little crazy and tender and romantic. I will make endings that make me personally uncomfortable and squeamish to write. Why? Because even though it's not my taste, I want to go deep for those who crave it. Some people might want Jayce a murdering monster with zero remorse, or Jayce as a broken shell of a man who has lost his mind into depression or maybe they just want to see him in the lap of mc, loved and adored. I will do my best to help all of these come true. ALL of your desires to see Jayce are valid and it doesn't mean you love him any less for it.
3. THAT DAMN BALD MC MIGHT OR MIGHT NOT CHANGE I DONT KNOW YALL HATE HER AND HER SHINY ASS HEAD OR YOU LOVE HER CAUSE YOU IMAGINE URSELF LOOK I DONT KNOW LMFAOOOO
4. I am only one person. I wish I had a team, a group, a bunch of fellow people to work on this game but I don't. I probably won't ever. That's okay, I'll still do my best.
5. I am forever grateful to everyone who loves this game and the support I've received. I will do my best to continue to make Jayce perfect for you (without hurting myself in the process). You really all are amazing and have helped me so much. Thank you!

Also, I would never change anything about the story so far or how dark and gritty it was, I think Jayce needed those bad experiences to make him what he is now, so I wouldn't listen too much to those who were offended or scared or whatever about it - the game has warnings and tags, and they should just play another game if that is not their cup of tea - I hate to be saying this because I also probably would love to make all of my followers etc. happy, but you can't please everyone and if you do try too much, it will wash out what the story and game and characters were supposed to be.. Like, stories need to be coherent and have a clear path for the development of the plot. The story and game needs to have a soul, and it must reflect the author wishes, creativity and ideas. This is just the reality. If people are that unhappy, they can just create their own story and game. With this I don't mean that you shouldn't listen to criticism or people's desires, at all ok? You should indeed, but if something doesn't feel right for your story and game, you should prioritize your own thoughts. I prefer you to follow your heart and creativity with the story rather than taking too seriously random people on the internet

I just wanna say something for you Angel, i think it is amazing that you want to make everyone happy, but I believe that your game story was truly amazing and well done and you shouldn't take every opinion too seriously, because at the end of the day the story is yours anyway and it is full of us who loved it for what it is right now in this state.
