Just a Kerbal

Well there’s always the gamble of shorting biotech… Why worry about the risk when if you short it your going to win even if the company dies

I just want to say the Trainer and Slugma duo just perfectly represent pokemon. For a moment there I felt like I was watching the original anime again.

A kinda neat bit about the aura and bond explanation is that it's actually not too hard to explain it in a pragmatic sense that Tanya might be able to accept. Aura is a partially empathic internal energy that can allow for forming metaphysical connections between the aura of two individuals with measurable tangible results. Pokemon typically have much more aura than humans but in either case these bonds can allow a pokemon or human to draw on a small amount of extra aura from their bonded partners, more or less by definition making them slightly stronger than they would be alone because they have more aura to draw upon than they would natively alone with the amount varying on the strength of the bond. The empathic nature of these bonds also facilitates a level of communication between humans and pokemon with greater understanding tied to a closer and stronger bond. In the case of Owen, he's naturally somewhat fire oriented which gives him some measure of resistance to fire and heat on its own, but the strength of his bond with Slugma lets him draw from its much more strongly fire aligned aura to further boost that resistance! In theory the kid might actually be able to successfully hug that slugma/macargo with even more minimal injuries if he formed similarly strong bonds with other pokemon that resist fire such as other fire types or a water or dragon type in the future.

Awwwww. Plus I love how you show how Caretaker really dove deep in her love for Tanya and really got into Econ and Finances herself. Enough to love it too! And be a unique enough specialist to actually have a unique insight in the market, and probably found an inefficiency to make money via. Very funny and cute. And I love the fire kid and his slugma. I don't know how to describe that, but that's so perfect and adorable too, and it's so great how you have these fire specialist nurses handling them. Very pokemon, very cute. The problem is that these chapters are just too damned short!
