WIP Demo ROM - Patreon version 2023-08-15
🕑 Added 2023-08-15 23:03:25 +0000 UTCFirst I apologize for not completing Round 3 and being the same as my previous video. I spent almost a whole week trying to focus on an address leak that caused some instabilities that I finally managed to resolve.
Some considerations need to be taken into account:
- The game still has slowdowns at some points, primarily if you activate 6 enemies on the screen, but even so, it is still much faster compared to the previous release.
- I didn't do intensive tests with 2 players.
- The car bonus part I still don't understand why it generates a slowdown when going through the rounds (but when executing only it gets very fast).
- When there is no space in VRAM, the game will reject the appearance of new particle effects and items on the screen.
- The survivor mode continues as before, it's not ready, just a test.
As soon as possible I will finish Round 3 and make a new ROM for you, but in any case, I believe that with this new version, you will be able to notice the differences in how the game was about the last public ROM released.
Are there known bugs? Yes, there are several. But I guarantee that the game is much more stable and structured, play and check it out!

Primeiramente peço desculpas por não concluir o Round 3 e estar exatamente da mesma forma que meu vídeo anterior, mas fiquei praticamente uma semana inteira tentando focar em um vazamento de endereçamento que causava algumas instabilidades que finalmente consegui resolver.
Existem algumas considerações que precisam ser levadas em conta:
- O jogo ainda tem slowdowns em alguns pontos, principalmente se ativar 6 inimigos na tela, mas mesmo assim ainda é bem mais rápido em relação a release anterior.
- Não fiz testes intensivos com 2 jogadores.
- A parte do bônus do carro ainda não entendi porque ela gera slowdown ao passar pelos rounds (mas ao executar somente ela fica bem rápido).
- Quando não há espaço na VRAM, o jogo irá rejeitar a aparição de novos efeitos de partículas e itens na tela.
- O modo survivor continua como antes, não está pronto, é apenas um teste.
Assim que possível termino o Round 3 e faço uma nova ROM para vocês, mas em todo caso, creio que com esta nova versão poderão perceber as diferenças de como o jogo estava em relação a última ROM pública lançada.
Há bugs conhecidos? Sim, há vários. Mas garanto que o jogo está bem mais estável e estruturado, joguem e confiram!

Every time I'm playing the game, I just cannot believe how well it runs/feels and how amazing it looks and sounds! The palette selection is truly a work of art on its own as well. <3

I'm making small color adjustments, but nothing too aggressive because the palettes are shared (but I didn't get to touch Haggar and Guy, it's just your impression).

It's real exciting to get a new release and experience the changes, thanks Mauro. I am sure a lot of us appreciate all your hard work and will always be there to support this project. You can definitely notice the performance upgrade. I think, in its current form, it plays excellent, and I would enjoy this experience even in the final product. Thank you for continuing your excellent work and I am looking forward to seeing what's next, even the slightest changes. Did you make color changes on some of the sprites? It could be me but Hagar and Guy look even better.
