Note about the Final Fight project
🕑 Added 2022-06-08 14:52:00 +0000 UTCI want to post a note to update everyone on the Final Fight Ultimate project facts.
The game will come out anyway, no matter what.
We're at least trying to get Capcom to say something like "continue as a non-profit fangame", so we don't get a cease and desist order because that would be a problem for the project.
I'll post a lot of news here, and we're all focused on a lot of improvements since the last video.
In a few hours, you from Patreon will have news.

We plan to release the game in whatever way is possible and allowed. We'd love to be something official with a cartridge the fans deserve, distributed by a publisher that could get that license. Secondly, if Capcom at least says "go ahead as a fangame as long as you don't make a profit", just text like this would make us happy to be able to follow along. The certainty you can be is that the game will come out, whether it will be on cartridge or in direct ROM, only time will tell. And I say more, everyone who has supported me on Patreon since the beginning will not be forgotten in any way, I will always guarantee privileges to those who believe in the project. And finally, there are other projects in the drawer, but let's go one at a time.

Love the project and your dedication! The attention to detail is what makes it potentially so much better looking than the (generally great) MCD port. Not sure, though, whether contacting Capcom is a good idea? They will need to protect their IP and are likley less thrilled about fan projects 'exploiting' it? By the way, are you planning to release a demo or 'vertical slice' anytime soon? I'd really love to see it running on my own MD. :-) Anyways, thanks a lot for keeping the MD alive! Cheers -F.-
