ummm so like batteries degrade over time, and heat speeds that up. Because the battery gets hotter than when it charges slowly, fast charging does degrade the battery faster. but phone batteries are good so it doesn't really matter too much, esp since most battery wear comes from actually using your phone

Most phones nowadays have optimised charging functions which either delay completing charge to 100% till toward when you wake if you charge overnight or they will simply reject the charging current once it’s reached 100% so you don’t overheat the device. Essentially, fast or not, charging is designed to counteract any issues we could pose to it

The social media points were interesting. I have a group chat with my friends and don’t really post on instagram cause I feel like i get more information and feedback from them then just posting. I’ve noticed some people still define their relationship around consistently posting their significant other which seems really grade school to me lmao. I think we are gunna see the next “big platform” is probably gunna be a reddit type where people can be heard in group settings rather than constant scrolling and forgetting the person who just made you laugh because the content was only ten seconds long. I know I’ve had to stray from using tiktok cause it really does feel like brain rot on my unmedicated cranium

Any tech guys in the comments 22:10 yeah I'm sorta into tech. Fast charging is fine bro, it stops when it goes full. I used to also be worried about it but idc anymore I just charge it fast all the time. With phone batteries, the worst thing for it is to drain the battery to empty before charging. If you keep it around 80% and don't let it get to 10% or whatever then it increases the longevity. 🤓 New phones are designed for it. It doesn't overheat.
