The impetus for the ID system is twofold, population control and damage control. AI will take over the entire internet within 10 years, possibly 5. It will be completely impossible to tell if bosses, subordinates, romantic interests, scientists, political heads or anyone else for that matter is human. Automation will devalue everything. Labor. Entertainment. Money. They're terrified, and they should be.
