This title is crazy to what I’ve just gone through lol. So I found this girl on a dating site for younger people. I’m 17 and she was 16. Early on in the relationship she informed me she is prone to anger as she has bpd. I thought this wouldn’t be that bad but jeez I was wrong😭🙏. I hope you guys read this cos it’s a long one haha I love you guys. Keeping my head up rn instead of down❤️❤️❤️. So about a month into the relationship it was all good fun and games and I was enjoying myself until she was over at my house one night. We were talking and I had a Snapchat notification from someone who said something about me and her loving eachother. I said no as a joke and was clearly smirking but she got angry and wacked me in the back of the head. Yeah I get that was cruel to joke about not loving her but I’ve shown all I have ever done was care about her, I’d buy everything she wanted take her places give her attention any time she demanded it, I was straight up a simp for this girl no joke. Mind you this wasn’t a light hit it was on the back of my head and it hurt, I have a video of it. I didn’t think much of it because she was salty the rest of the night and not talking to me until I took her home. This didn’t stop there tho as she continued to wack me in the arms if I did something wrong upset her with my actions or said anything she didn’t like. She would blame it as it either being her love language or her hearing something similar to her exes that scared her and brang ptsd. Her exes apparently were not good people and there is a stab wound on her boob from one of them and the other one constantly beat her. I have never hit her in any way other than when we put on boxing gloves and we would lightly spar.(she wouldn’t do it lightly) So for 4 months I stayed in a relationship that made me think I loved her but was highkey manipulating me and controlling me from spending all my money on her and guilt tripping me into believing anything I did was wrong and her actions such as hitting me or biting me was justified. I would constantly walk off from the fight/argument we had to rethink everything and realise she was wrong most time and I got gaslit into believing I was wrong. I’d go to talk to her about these issues and she’d get angry that I was bringing it up again and she’d would cry threaten to break up or her favourite sit in silence until I gave up. We had so many unsolved problems lol. I remember the time she was “jealous” over some girl in my tafe class. I go to a tafe with a shopping center nearby it and we would all pool in my car to go for lunch. This day the girl came(we’ll call her C) she had bought banana bread from Coles and we continued to Kmart to meet up with my gf of the time. While we were waiting she gave the open bag to my other friend Taylor(he is a guy) to hold. I saw the transaction asked if I could have one and C said yes. Taylor just hands the whole bag to me and my gf comes 2 mins later. Starting off the interaction with everyone it’s very awkward because she wouldn’t talk and had this tiny little water pistol with her. She wouldn’t talk occasionally spray me and it hit my friends and they started to get annoyed with her actions. So I took her to the side to speak normally with her. She asked where I got the banana bread from and I told her it was C’s I was just holding it for her while she eats her sandwich. She then said “bye then” and walked off, messaging me 20 mins later saying “ if I get mad at you it’s not your fault it’s my jealousy issues” I reply “Ok? Why are you mad at me?” Her “Nothing no reason drop it k?” (When she gets like this she gets super dry and it’s obv she’s mad) Me “Alright hun be safe I love you” Her “nah whys she even giving you the bread there’s 2 other guys there” Me “She’s eating?” Her “Yeah but why you?” She then ghosted me for the rest of the day until she messaged she missed me. Another thing she always did was refused to apologise. She could be so on the wrong saying like oh I’m having a panic attack and I’m gonna go to the train station and kill myself by getting hit by a train and I’d plead her not to and she’ll joke about doing it sending all these stupid emojis And then get mad at me for getting upset at her for threatening to take her own life the next day she refused to say she was in the wrong like I did call her a Cunt that night because she was braiding me and trying to get me to respond by trying to make you jealous saying “I’m gonna get my guy to pick me up” and once she said suicide, that’s what got my attention I called her a Cunt for not considering my feelings and then she started going after my biggest insecurity which is not being seen as enough of a man. I understand. I was wrong but the whole situation of the night was like constantly getting angry at me and then switching back to being sorry when she realise she wasn’t getting a reaction but she never said sorry she was just acting loving and sweet. This is one of her manipulation techniques. When she realised she wasn’t getting what she wanted from anger she would get angry at me then switch back to saying I’m sorry. I love you. Please don’t leave like I actually love you. I can’t live without you. This this that. I’ll kill myself if you leave. Yk? It was really traumatic because the person I thought I loved turned out to be a horrible person. I cut off so many friends and so many relationships just for her and she could talk to all the guys that she ever wanted to. It was a very toxic relationship and I’m very confused on what love is at the moment. I’m going to therapy in like 20 minutes after posting this hopefully I can talk it out with the therapist to see if I’m in the clear or not because obviously there’s a lot of details that haven’t been listed like yes I was wrong in some sense but overall I think I was a very good boyfriend and very appreciative of her. I never held her past against her when she did to me I never made fun of her insecurities. I thought I did good but you do see a lot of people out there online saying I was a good person for this this this and they’re generally an asshole. But hearing that word love is so scary to me and I wanted to share my experience and why I think it is scary because of this crazy woman if you read this thank you so much. I’m still confused if I was an arsehole for leaving a toxic relationship where she hit me and manipulated me when I called her three nights later and she put all the blame on me and most of it was her and her actions towards that caused me to leave.
