Things I'm working on (Dec 2024)
🕑 Added 2024-12-16 21:37:49 +0000 UTCProjects are scattered, so I'm just gonna ask y'all what has you the most interested. I'll ultimately end up doing what the muses want to do, but I guess it wouldn't hurt knowing what my supporters want.
So, there are a few things I have to do, just for business sake:
- I have a cutesy commission for a one minute song about cute forest animals and mushrooms.
- I want to redo Sapphic Oscillation. From a technical perspective, it doesn't compare to Burlington or UwU Xmas. And worse than that, it doesn't get good until about two minutes in. This is a problem and the song—as I've said many times before—has too much viral potential not to put my best into it.
Now, onto things I've sort of started working on, which fall into two categories: remakes and new songs.
# Remakes
- I started remaking Eagle 1, but making it much more punk rock. Like, I sing the entire song out of key but it sounds good.
- Ma Cheríe. This song will be redone, mark my words. It's brilliant, but I just didn't have the knowledge or tools to do it well when I made it.
- Orbital Artillery. Good song, but same as #2—I just didn't know what I was doing.
# New Songs
- "Cake and Cookies" — I'm gonna save all my Yuri songs for one album and just release them in order on YouTube so the algorithim has time to adjust. I actually have this song mostly done, but it feels like it's lacking, from a technical perspective. For any brownies and pegasisters in the chat, it sounds like Pinkie Pie is singing it and I'm quite proud of myself for managing that.
- "Mecha-Girl Maintanance" — Nik finished the art today (including a nude version for my Devotees and up), so this one has to be made. The lyrics are fire, but the melody eludes me.
- Another Mecha-chan battle song. I wrote one in May, June, or July (can't remember), and it's pretty good, but it doesn't feel like it reflects my current work in style, and lacks the emotional punch that I like to see in my music. Still, it's pretty catchy, and that might be enough.
Anyway, yeah, I'm curious to know what has y'all most excited.

Interested to see what you do with SO. In v7C1 I personally liked the first two minutes bit you said there’s a problem with? The song has such a fun manic escalation between sections towards the end. And Eagle 1 and Orbital Artillery were my first faves so that’s fun to see.

I have that song in the stage of "basically done but not good enough." Holding myself to the standards of my last two songs is making being happy with anything I create even harder. 🥲 Like, I could ship it right now, but I won't because I don't love it yet.

And surprising absolutely everybody except myself, I went with choice #E—Reverse Vampire. 🥲 It's, uh, well it's something. So far. One of the songs of all time, that's for sure.
