Totally Legit Recap: "The Parent Map" Season 8 Episode 8
🕑 Added 2018-05-24 05:13:08 +0000 UTC I really had fun doing the intro music for this one; I'm a bass/guitar fag, so I'm only comfortable when it comes to rock music, and when I try other genres I still tend to use my instruments as much as possible. This was a fun first shot at creating some completely electronic shit, minor though it was.I liked this episode, and I hope we get to see more of Glimmy and Sunburst's parents in the future. I'd really like to see some kind of acknowledgement between Starlight and her dad of her horrible fuckups. Some might say that's too heavy for this show, but I mean, she fucking talks about it all the time to everyone else. I want to know what Dad's opinion is on the whole communist village/destroy the world phase of her life.
Anyway, I just upgraded my hd and I gotta make sure I didn't fuck anything up. Have a good one guys.

Yeah, that one line seemed like a tacit acknowledgement of her villain days, but I'm curious as to how much he actually knows. I doubt we'll ever get that conversation, but whatever; I would just be happy with seeing more interactions between the two of them.

Makes me think Firelight at least knew she was struggling to find her place after she left but I doubt he would have any idea about her village. Maybe one day we'll get an ep where Starlight explains to her dad the point between when she was a filly and when she ruled the town. All we know about that time is that Maud helped her find the Cutie Mark stone.
