If you actually are curious, you may want to consider getting just a solid sheet of polyethylene or, if you're fancy, neoprene, to deaden the sound from your window. you can order to size and just block the whole window. The trick is you want some dead air space. so a sheet of baffling, some air, then turn your wedge foam to face the outside. It'll look lamer, but give better performance. Also, neoprene is a great insulator, so room temp may be more stable. Right now, you're probably getting like 10-15% efficiency out of the foam; just flipping the wedges so they face out might up that to 25-30%; getting a sheet of sound barrier could up it to 50% or better, but is kind of a pain in the ass. If you want to get super nerdy, the principle is you want to change sound energy into thermal energy through friction through the baffling material. The shape is important for a couple reasons - one, it helps with sound reflections by redirecting the waves into the baffling material, and two, the thickness of the material determines to some degree the frequency it baffles, the thinner the material, the higher the frequency. That's why most sound baffling is better for high frequency stuff and less effective at blocking low frequencies. If you don't care that much, this never happened...and my apologies for the dozen edits : P also the pun did not escape me : )

I could say nice things about it, but instead I’m gonna let the asshole perfectionist in me talk instead: THE CABLE MANAGEMENT. Now seriously, nice setup, but tidying those cables (or at least hiding them) will make it look a loooot nicer than it already is.
