Thank you so much, Sarah!! The book is about a guy, Thomas Michael Raines, who has his consciousness uploaded into cyberspace. His first major obstacle is that he has memory degradation (later fragmentation) and must piece together who he was and why he was uploaded in the first place. He spends the next 10 years trying to figure that out, but is left with more questions than answers. Since running into these obstacles, he shifts his focus to studying serial killers and stumbles on an active murder investigation in a small town in Georgia. He becomes a virtual partner to the detective working on the case, Jack Kersey. Together, they unravel a larger conspiracy at play involving a megacorporation operating without any regulation, EvoSys, and a super intelligence behind it all, Elysian. With the help of a hacker collective called Chaos Nation, a woman who suffers from dissociative identity disorder, and others, the group must confront Elysian for the sake of all mankind.
