I joined just for this reaction and seeing the comments saying you were mixed about it I was like "oh no!" π but I actually don't mind it after watching, the thing is you're always able to give your reasons fairly and respectfully even when it's negtive. Definitely give it a couple more relistens and it'll click! She hid all her edges in her last album and let them all out in this one, that's why many including her fans don't connect to the last one but we really love this. Every songs go somewhere, she weren't afraid to fully push them to realize her vision, and even if it doesn't connect to you personally, as you said, it's much more appreciated than when she played it safe. She said in her interview that after her Grammys win she can finally go and make her "weird music", I think it's gonna be very liberating from now on
