Update!
🕑 Added 2024-05-19 22:31:40 +0000 UTCSome of y’all may have noticed I’ve been scarce lately, and that’s because I’ve been cooking non stop. If any of you remember my first ever armor build you’ll be familiar with this guy. I’m hoping to revamp it in time for momocon but I definitely have my work cut out for me. Since it was my first it is riddled with shortcuts and knowledge checks that I failed miserably so it’s been fun to go back and make it better although I do hate messing with it too much.
Biggest change has been the backpack frame to increase the load bearing potential of it and rigging a better way to attach the pauldrons bc when I initially wore this it was an absolute nightmare of shit sliding down everywhere and it probably took like five years off my life due to pure rage. First step to that is building out the chest plate to have an anchor point but patterning for your back on yourself when the piece is partially completed (no saran wrap duct tape method) is actually ass.
Anyway I’ll keep y’all posted and hopefully it’ll be ready for the field!

Too this looks amazing. I’ve been trying to make armor out of EVA foam. I’m on my second attempt. It’s rough road but it’s getting there. Can’t wait to see the finished result!!
