Some clarification: a) The deaths of Rose's subordinates happened 5 years prior to the current story. That means the demon lady (Amila) aged by 5 years between these events. b) Amila knows about the kidnappers because there was a previous engagement between the humans and the demons. It happened 2 years before Usato and the other two were summoned. (So the timeline is basically: "Rose loses subordinates" -> 3 years later, demons attack, humans manage to survive largely due to the Rescue Team -> 2 years later, heroes get summoned, current timeline.) c) It's hard to tell whether Nero (the demon with the magic sword) actually survived or not. Amila has previously stated that she would avenge her Mentor, which is him. It's possible that he's dead, it's possible that he's just out of commission/wounded so badly that he won't be able to fight anymore.
