I don't know why the king doesn't step down & just let his daughter rule. It's obvious she has a better understanding of how to run the kingdom & form friendly relationships with other nations than her father does.

I think Balirossa is under the impression that the Dark One wants to fight her after she pulled a sword on him. She's probably so terrified of facing him in a real battle that it hasn't even occurred to her that he has taken a liking to her, & the Hero screwed it up. The kingdom of Klyrode is going to war with the Dark Army because he thinks they did something to Flio's home & his precious Balirossa. He didn't even get a chance to ask for a date. Hopefully it's all resolved in the end, & any misunderstandings are cleared up. I want to see Balirossa form a real relationship with the Dark One. He is very attractive & they look cute sitting next to each other, despite her being literally paralyzed with fear over the lack of realization that he means her no harm & would just like to get to know her better. I can't believe I almost skipped this one because of the title. It was the Takahashi Rumiko style premise of Fenrys becoming his wife after defeating him in combat that got me interested. Lum & Shampoo are some of my favorite characters in anime, because of the craziness they bring along with them. Though Fenrys is more like Lum, than Shampoo, in that her reason for marrying Flio is because she sees something in him beyond his ability to defeat her in combat. Great series so far. I just decided to pick up the first volume of the Light Novel & can't wait for the next episode.

This is one of those stories where the plot is mainly driven by the individual character actions, and its really great in that regard.
