you express that you can't afford the more expensive one and you hope she understands or that you prefer to split the bill if she wants to go fancier. if she pushed back and considered you a cheap stake for that she's not someone you wanna be around long term anyway, the company is what matters. if she doesn't express the value and just simply is like id prefer this but makes no mention of the value then you can use your heart and decide how much you like said person
