Well even if he does not love her right now. He still cares about her which was shown last season. Plus that he left her watch his previous acting which is something very personal to him. That he basically does not want anyone else to watch

given aqua won't stop being a crazy mofo she is perfect for him given the story beats but he will most certainly blow it due to his emotional instability. if this was real life he needs therapy but that wouldn't make for a fun story
