In the Night

Decided to draw her as the first commission because its a character Ive drawn a bunch and am very familiar with, so it was "safe". That said, the scene I picked was definitely not safe, because I hadnt done a night time thing in ages. I guess you could maybe consider "Twilight" to be one but that was more of an attempt, lol. This one is a proper night scene with a soft blue light and indoor lighting which requires quite a different approach from how I usually light my scenes.
To make up for it though couch scenes are some of the easiest to do because the couch just covers most the screen and I dont have to worry too much about the distant background, and they look really comfy as well so its one of those things I keep coming back to. It worked really well here giving it a very intimate look.
As for Kei herself, back to the default/canon hairstyle and a mix of her ninja outfit, similar to what I did on "Resolve" but without the shorts (I guess they were too tight and she took them off to sleep). I always love how much the scarf adds to these as well, its one of those things that just works.
Then as always with busty characters I couldnt pass the chance to play around with breast physics and show off their weight, which is definitely one of my favorite parts about this one. Along with that, I think one of the things that stands out the most is her hands/nails. For some reason the "french tips" just work so well with her, so I wanna keep doing it, it makes them really enjoyable to look at (for anyone who appreciates nails like I do, lol).
I think thats it for this one. Cant think of anything else to say about it (though I always seem to remember something right after I hit the post button).
Next up should be another star rail character bust. Ive been wondering if I should post the sketch of the next pic instead of the current one, as a teaser, but then I dont wanna take away the spotlight of the main post (especially now that patreon puts both images side by side, very annoying), so for now Ill stick with this. Let me know if thats something youd like to see.

Ill try to do more of them, whenever I feel like its appropriate and fits the character... Part of why I rarely do night scenes is also because of how the blue hue changes the colors of the character and then Im worried it wont be accurate or might give people the wrong idea etc though I guess that goes more for commissions

Oh wow another well done piece! As you said in the description, the hands an nails turned out great! The french tips really fit to the colour of the polish imo. I also am a sucker for night time pieces like this. Daytime and evening pieces also have their own charm but the comfy-intimacy ( i dunno how to better describe it) pieces like this have is smth i really enjoy. It is alluring and i enjoy kei's color palette a lot even way back from older comissions. Thank you for your great wotk on this!❤️

Another lovely piece! I found her hands to be really nice in this piece, which might be because of those french tips like you said along with those fishnet type gloves she has on. Also the night time setting with the blues mixed with the purples of her hair and such just feels calm and cool, its really nice. As for the sketch idea its a nice idea for a teaser, I personally like the suprise each week. Keeps the post directed on the character of the week since like you said patreon now does this thing where it shows the images side by side.
