You are using vamX 1.14 or lower, but to use the Add vamX button / plugin you need vamX 1.15. The error message you mention may not cause any issue, let me know if you find an issue associated with it. I'll try to fix that in the 1.17 release (but 1.16 is already finalized and is in the process of being released). Regarding your saved looks, have you saved the looks, or do you mean you have scenes with those looks in them? If a look is only in a scene, you either need to merge load vamX into it, like you were trying to, or manually save the look, here's the relevant part of the help file around that: To load any custom look (such as a look from another var package) open the vamX UI -> Female -> Load Custom Look. You can also load looks using any standard Virt-a-Mate methods, for example clicking Edit Mode, then selecting the female Person -> Control & Physics 1 tab -> Load Look... or from the female Person Appearance Presets tab. If you can't find the look you want to load, and you have the Creator version of Virt-a-Mate, open the Scene with the look you want, then save the look. Many "looks" from the Virt-a-Mate Hub aren't really saved as looks, but are instead only saved as scenes. Therefore you must open the scene with the look, click Edit Mode -> Press Cycle Select Person to select the female Person -> press Save Look... (or save from the Appearance Presets tab). You can then load the look in vamX as described above.

Been having a couple issues. Basically I can only load a blank/default VamX scene. When in an existing scene trying to load via "Load VamX" button I get `Can't find vamX merge load scene vamX.1.15:/Saves/scene/Merge Load vamX into Scenes With Female Only.json` And when attempting to merge load I usually just get a UI that states "Make sure you have VaM 1.20.77 or higher" despite running 1.20.77.9 Any tips I may have missed to troubleshoot? Oh, also a lot of my saved looks don't show up as options to load for custom looks? Only a small subset. If I follow the "edit mode -> cycle select -> save" steps I get: ` !> vamX can't find MALE Person. !> Exception caught: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object at vamX.com.FindPersonParts () [0x00000] in :0 at vamX.com.SortPeople () [0x00000] in :0 !> Exception during Save: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object at vamX.com.SetCorrectNamesForPeople () [0x00000] in :0 at vamX.BL_Save.OnSceneSave () [0x00000] in :0 at SuperController.SaveInternalFinish (System.String saveName, .Atom specificAtom, Boolean includePhysical, Boolean includeAppearance, .ScreenShotCallback callback, Boolean isOverwrite) [0x00000] in :0 at SuperController.SaveInternal (System.String saveName, .Atom specificAtom, Boolean includePhysical, Boolean includeAppearance, .ScreenShotCallback callback, Boolean isOverwrite, Boolean fromPlugin) [0x00000] in :0 `

What file is in a vmr format? There aren't any vamX files that are in that format, and in fact the only vamX files are in .var format. If you meant var, which seems likely, you need to put that var package into your Virt-a-Mate AddonPackages folder. If you don't have Virt-a-Mate, it's time to read the help: https://www.patreon.com/posts/40736332

hello, how can I open the format .vmr?

vamX

Virt-a-Mate could take an extra minute or so to open each time you open Virt-a-Mate, other than that, nothing. Most people won't have a need for older vamX packages, but if you have saved scenes for older versions of vamX, it may make it easier to have those older var packages also available, if you don't mind longer load times when opening Virt-a-Mate.

If I put all the VaM X 1.10 1.13 1.14 all in the addonpackages folder, what would happen?

Man thanks for the hard work VamX is just incredible you've done an amazing thing !

So you need to find where you saved the vamX.1.14.var file to, probably to your downloads folder. Then you can drag it from there, or cut and paste it, into the Virt-a-Mate/AddonPackages folder.

when I download, "vamX.1.14.var" shows at the bottom of windows, and next to it is an image of the orange and white cone from vlc. because I accidentally associated vlc with .var so when I'm done downloading the 1.8 gigabyte vlc just opens. Thanks in advance

You shouldn't need to open the .var package. This should be placed in the Virt-a-Mate add-on packages folder. Do you have Virt-a-Mate? If not (or also if you do) follow the Download and Run vamX steps in this post. On step 3 it will explain what to do if you don't have Virt-a-Mate yet "If you don't have Virt-a-Mate learn more here"

Can someone please tell me what program should be associated with .var?
