🕑 Added 2024-10-06 18:08:20 +0000 UTCIt would've been easier to show five images captioning them with "...and then they started fighting", but as the saying goes: show don't tell. Easier said than done, but the grind for the action part of the scene is pretty much completed. For reference, the last few days and weeks I have occasionally spent eight to ten hours a day working on getting a five second animated action scene together. To be honest, that shit always takes an absurd amount of time, but once I see it all put together, I don't doubt that it will be fun to play through.
Now things should get less complicated. The aftermath, and at the same time the end of the scene, is near. That leaves us with a handful of reworks left, and plans for some fun repeatable scenarios during the game. For example: Continue Pepper's lab "DNA donations". Choose a reward for your fellow raiders in the overpass settlement after they come home from a raid. The mentioned sparring with Shani, and hopefully more are still on the list.
I know that we are already in October, but as I mentioned before, the update comes with a decent amount of new content, a prettier early game, some amount of code rework, and a Steam release on top. As it happens, there are too many things piled up that needed to be done. Let's call this a special release, and hopefully not something I have to deal with again going forward.
The stress of putting the content together is one thing, but not having to worry so much about your support during your wait is something I am always very conscious and happy about. So thank you for your loyal support and patience =)

Hello there! I'm a fellow dev myself (regular games, not adult ones) and been in the industry for over 10 years. I completely get what you mean when you talk about releasing on different platforms, upgrading earlier parts of the game, working for hours on a thing that players will experience for only mere-seconds. I congratulate you for all the work you're putting into it. It isn't a small feat to be dedicated and actively working for hours, for years on the same thing. Over and over. It takes a lot of energy and it can take a toll on yourself. Only thing that makes it better is being laser-focused on specific things and having a very specific development schedule that helps you feel like you're doing exactly what you should be doing (and not wandering around several tasks). I wish you all the best and I hope you're having a great time working on it. I know I'm having a great time playing it, and lots of other people seem in that case. Not really. On top of my head, I can think of some kind of little cutscene with, for exemple Zorha brushing Ain's hair while they discuss about why Shani's been chosen to be her father's heir/why they started to do lewd things together ? Or maybe Zorha, as the loving and worried mother she is, orchestrating actions in the kitchen to prepare for Shani food supplies ? And sending her on the roads with a kiss and a big hug ? It could help for illustrating the family side of the main characters? Not just sexual freaks?
