Historical dramas are generally not my thing but there is no way I’d pass up on anything starring actor Doh Kyungsoo*. I just love him in this. The entire cast is great, for that matter. *Though I can’t rewatch a number of things he’s been in. I can only take so much heartbreak.

There is a real Won Deuk but she has never met him. If I remember correctly, he's a person in another village that her father heard of who might make a decent match. Her father never saw Won Deuk either, just speculation. Think her father mentioned Won Deuk a long time ago as a possible match but nothing ever came from it? She was desperate for an excuse not to marry so pulled the name out of her memory and told people she was engaged to Won Deuk. Her father heard how she told people she was engaged to Won Deuk so named the Crown Prince Won Deuk since he had no identity. She never met the real man so when her Father introduced him as Won Deuk, she accepted his word that this was the Won Deuk. I hope that makes sense.
