🕑 Added 2022-12-03 01:09:18 +0000 UTCI'm going to attempt to write the Rewrite and keep the 1st draft going, but eventually, I will need to move to the rewrite, which might not be popular. I'll explain a few things that will be changing with this rewrite:
1. Elinor's other half will be a voice in her head at the start, so you'll get a bit of Ishy's biting tongue and guidance as she holds Elinor's sensing abilities while Elinor has control over everything else.
Basically, Ishy—I'll figure out a temp name to not make things obvious—will be there from Chapter 1, and we'll have our little back-and-forth bickering, and snide comments between them as our Empress grows.
Ishy will appear as a little golden butterfly that hovers around Elinor and sasses her. She won't remember her previous life but does have some instinctual understandings of combat as she acts as more the guide and Elinor the vessel for both of their eventual releases.
2. I want to slow things down... by quite a bit and go more of the kingdom-building route while also not giving her Transcendent units off the bat. Edmon and Tiffany will be Rare-Grade that must work into the Transcendent role and gain the Title and position.
3. Elinor will have to battle and gain ground among each of the Ri'bot tribes to gain her valley, and it won't be so one-sided as it was the first time around with Iris. Iris and her daughters will be in a similar position as Edmon and Tiffany, but, tbh, we have to give them their transformation ability because they're so adorable xD
4. The Covenant and Sari'ael, among many other hyper-accelerated things, need to be put on the back burner, and we shouldn't be introduced to them all that quickly because this world is huge.
5. I want the other deities to also be in a similar boat and find this world challenging with the level of creatures on it, which is a reason why they were all forced here during The Oscillation.
6. Elinor learning as she goes rather than having a glory-awakening moment will be much better since so many events got pushed forward in the 1st draft with Sari'ael's introduction.

That is a good thought. UE will take a bit of a turn with Ishtar being introduced right at the start rather than me subtly hinting at her existence through the double earrings and comments. It will also go into the other lands and deal with more kingdom building than the grand overarching themes that should be built up over the many interactions with the other kingdoms, working into a bigger puzzle.

I honestly might stop reading UE until the rewrite is much farther along and then just focus there. I did similar with ATM but kept reading current as well. That is due to my understanding being that the rewrite there is not as extensive, covering only the early sections and not a complete redo

Honestly, if you plan on rewriting it anyway, find a good pause point in the current within the next few chapters, and then focus on the rewrite. If you plan on going over to the rewrite anyways it's better to focus and catch it up quicker. Rather than creating more and more things to redo as you go, prolonging the whole affair.
