I hate getting yelled at or even just getting spoken to in a certain tone by people I care about. I’m a hypocrite for that though because I find myself raising my voice or using a tone at others when I’m irritated or upset more often than I’d like to admit. I’ve been trying to break out of it as i’ve grew up and realized how much I hated the feeling(s) it brings me and might cause others. & yes the whole child thing is so true.. my Mom has a problem of yelling but my Dad is always calm when it comes to talking. take a guess at who I hated getting in trouble by lol. thanks for this audio 🙃

Coming from someone who was raised in a toxic household and just emotionally shuts down when I’m yelled at...THANK YOU!!! I’ve always been so confused when people say, “I’m yelling because I’m passionate!” Hearing people scream around me out of anything except excitement makes me so uncomfortable.

Highly respect the fact you don't want to yell. It doesn't come from a healthy place. Yelling gets you nowhere except hurt, on both sides
