It sounds like quite a few reaction-type Patreon accounts got hit with some DMCA issues.
I was required to remove ALL of the JoJo episode reactions to keep my Patreon account active as I received notification of claimed copyright infringement from VIZ Media LLC.
I have been talking with Patrons in the Patreon Discord channel about some methods in which we could continue JoJo here but NOT violate any DMCA issues.
(Time Stamp reaction with just me and only my audio while you have the episode up on your end)
I would like to keep Patrons that are here for JoJo content happy as I appreciate having you as a member of the Patreon.
Expect a poll soon with some ideas on how we will move forward

Potentially. If the company issued DMCA takedowns to Patreon that has content behind a paywall they will issue DMCA takedowns anywhere. I am trying to figure out where will be the best place to host them. I am not trying to get into a non stop wheel of moving content from platform to platform dodging if that makes sense.

cant you just share a link of your reaction that would direct us to another site? or would that also cause an issue for your account?

Hopefully everything will be fine. Been loving your reactions so I'm glad you're committed to finding a work around for it. Personally I would be fine with timestamp reactions but I'm always down for what other ideas are thrown around. 👍 🎼

Thats a fair question. Both of the other reactors have all their videos out for free so Im not entirely sure. I know you can usually have them be password protected on other sites but I guess that would spawn the problem that a member could just give out the passwords so I'm not entirely sure.

Good point. Question. What prevents 1 person from being a member and having a link and just giving that link to 10 friends to access for free?

Yes but your patreon wouldnt be in the crosshairs of whatever companies might have issues with your reaction content. And as far as Ive seen both Streamable and Pixeldrain are fairly reliable. Those are at least what Ive seen being used the most without issues. Streamable being relatively new while another reactor Ive watch has been using Pixeldrain for over 2 years.

I respect whichever you choose to do. I personally like the convienence of Picture in Picture [PiP] since I mainly watch on mobile. If you were gonna continue with that route Id look into using other sites to host your video and just have the link here. I mean copyright will follow you anywhere you go, you just gonna pick which battles you wanna fight and which you dont.

Really, do you have more information? Which creator? I would like to go see their work to get an idea of how they do it. i don't see how you could get hit if you don't have any anything from the original content on the screen

Well apparently timer reactions are also getting hit based on another creator I follow but idk I just have their word. Some people are using discord to post the resctions instead.

Roger that. Well, they might come for those as well. If they do Ill just have to delete them. I am guessing that most people have already watched those episodes of mine anyhow
