So that's why she's called "Frieren the Grave-digger" in French, interesting !

Ive started playing within the decade and always called it a perception check

A bit of trivia: The original Japanese title, Sousou no Frieren, has a double meaning that didn't make it into the English translation. As I understand, it can mean both "Frieren at the Funeral" (ie Himmel's in the first episode) and "Frieren of Funerals" (because she killed so many demons she became synonymous with burials). It was understandably localized as Frieren the Slayer, but the ending of this episode is a sick title drop for the show itself.

oh shit you're *old school* with it. Nice nice
DrumRollTony
That's true! I have been playing since THAC0 days

It's interesting you call it a Listen check instead of a Perception check. I guess you've been playing since at least 3.5 then right? I dunno if you play any of modern systems but it's so funny how even when you do swap there's a few terminology things that just stick with you.

Sorry but you will never escape from anime grunts and anime eating sounds XD

The manga is definitely known more for its characters and atmosphere. People have said for a while that one of the ways the anime could enhance the story is for it to handle the action well, and I'm so happy to see it succeeding!

it doesnt happen all the time but when frieren has action, its done perfectly. the ost evan call put together made some of these moments even better too.
