I've read that (at least for some anime), the artists (or maybe record labels) bid and pay the animation studio to do the OP/ED because shows with a large following are a huge chance to get their name and music out there. They do put everything they've got into making these songs though so it's not like an easy ride

Btw JJK season2 soundtrack is now out! Should be on spotify and Apple music (the cover has Gojo on it) You should be able to find most of the songs/soundtracks u liked so far on there.
