That ending scene won't get much further context if any. It was basically to frame the dynamic between Vivy and her teddy bear friend in which they will only change history to stop the AI's from taking over but saving your friends randomly from their death on the side is not allowed.

Don't fret too much about the music. It's coming! One interesting thing to remember is that the anime debuted with episodes 1 & 2 back to back both in Japan and in the US. So, by Week 2, we were actually on episode 3.
