Glad u liked Reigen’s development too. That last scene of him and mob meeting for the first time is one of my favorite moments of the show. Mob could’ve been a monster under the wrong guidance, but Reigen made sure that didn’t happen

Well for comedy shows, personally i enjoyed Grand Blue (also known as Grand Blue Dreaming) a whole lot, tho I know it's not for everyone. Basically it's a comedy show in a college setting surrounding a diving/snorkeling club

I like how the small fry still stood by Reigen after finding out that they mistook him from the boss. All because he just happened to the be first guy to talk 101 common sense into them after looking up to goofy ass anime villains all of their adult life.

when we were in the first few episodes of you watching this and you were hesitant on whether to like Reigen or not, I remember thinking "it's only a matter of time until he does a full 180 and loves his character." It's great to see that hope start to come into fruition because Reigen is such a brilliant character design. I know these are two very completely different shows but it's a little similar to how most viewers felt about Askellad in Vinland Saga. Where it's like, yeah this dude's definitely a dick but we still root for him during his moments of sincerity.

While I think there are definitely way funnier shows then One Punch Man if you're looking for comedy specifically, it definitely would be a fitting follow up to Mob Psycho since it's from the same creator and is still quite funny but also has a cool world and story aswell as incredible actions scenes.

There is still two more seasons of this left after the final episode for season 1 in the next episode as well as two OVA's so there is still plenty of laughs in store but what truly makes this series shine is the coming of age story for Mob that you will get to better appreciate in the next two seasons

One punch man is by the same original author as mob psycho and has similarly great animation, so you'd definitely like that. Other good comedy anime would be Grand Blue, Hinamatsuri and Kaguya sama

For funny anime I recommend putting "Asobi Asobase" in the next vote. It's got some vibes similar to this show and also a kind of alternate-to-typical art style. It's also a show that's so funny I was fucking crying laughing my ribs hurt I couldnt breathe

If we are recommending comedy in general I of course have to plug kaguya sama: love is war again. It's a rom com so a different vibe but it's the peak of anime rom coms imo.

As funny and amazing as Nichijou is, I'm not sure it's a good show to react to. It's got 26 episodes but literally no plot or story keeping it all together. It just consists of short bits of comedy connected only by the characters and settings. And while it's got some hilarious bits, insane situations and stupid but funny jokes, personally I've never gotten around to watching every episode. There's just no real reason to, because at some point you just "get it" and it loses some of its charm.

Most similar in tone is probably One Punch Man, it's by the same author and has a similar-ish feel. In my opinion tho Mob Psycho improves on One Punch Man a lot, and is able to improve each season, whereas OPM kind of loses steam as it really is kind of a one joke show. Still probably worth a look tho, it's pretty famous, and the first season is fantastic

After mob psycho you should definitely do one punch man it's in the same epic/funny style and season 1 has one of if not the greatest animation in anime

I mean, if you want comedy in anime i'd have to recommend Nichijou. It's one of those anime that managed to redefine the genre.

Quick funfact, the band that made all three openings is called "mob choir" and was literally created for the show. (read that a few times and I think thats true)

Would love to recommend gintama which is a full on comedy anime with seriousness. But it’s very long with like 360 eps. Not sure if u would want that. Unfortunately I can’t think of a shorter comedy anime
