So glad you watched this so many people dodge this masterpiece because of the mech pilot theme - i myself wasn't fond of the idea either but this is easily one of my top 5 favourites.

In the ending scene a lot of people think the one pulling the carriage is Lelouch. While most likely CC was talking to herself when she said "Lelouch" she could also be talking to him. His face is also hidden (intentionally so) making it up to interpretation which I like :) I still think he's dead given we saw him get stabbed and well.. die, but it's Lelouch, you never know :P

Btw there is a movie for CG which takes place after the ending of S2. It is good but not amazing. CG has such a great ending that it's impossible to create a good follow up

I don't remember where I heard this but it was an analogy stating that "Code Geass Season 2 is like the craziest car crash that somehow still sticks the landing in the end", and I couldn't agree more. Great reaction, mate! Looking forward to this series' replacement 👍🏽

The ending gets me every time 🥲. I remember watching this when it was all available illegally on YouTube lol. Such an unforgettable anime! Fun fact: for a long time fans debated whether Lelouch was really dead or not. The Director said he left it to fans to decide. There is an extra alternate ending where it’s heavily implied.

Another reason why Code Geass still stands out to this day is because believe it or not but Lelouch aka Zero is voted as the number one ranked character across the entire anime media on the website myanimelist which is the most prominent anime website in north america were fans vote on a range of topics such as favorite character and favorite anime
