Little translation note: the mask that the old man wore with the long nose was translated as "goblin" but it's called a Tengu and it's a commonly depicted spirit or supernatural being in japanese culture known for it's fierce nature and typically with bird wings on their back, and so it's good to know it's actual name because you're almost guaranteed to see it pop up again in multiple other anime.

@sean that’s not the case tho. Being an animator is almost the same in every studio. Ofc it can vary but the animators are just people that have passion and are interested in animating stuff. They do not care that much about salaries as much as they care about animation because if they did they would’ve quit their job and start a new one which has better salary than that and there is a lot of them out there.

One of the reasons why UFOtable's animation looks so good is that they're one of the best studios at blending CGI and hand drawn animation. They use it both for visual flair via camera movements through 3d environments and special effects, but also to save time and budget on some of the more background shots/effects (When you see someone walking around in the distance in this show, it's almost always CGI). It starts to get really noticeable if you look for it, the scene with all the bamboo traps in the forest was almost all CGI lol, but it's absolutely a core part of their visual flair and style.

This animation studio, ufotable, is pretty famous for flashy visual spectacle in their fight scenes. They use a lot of CG but it's done really well so it usually doesn't stand out too much, though in some episodes in later seasons you can definitely pick it out. Another series this studio is very famous for is Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works. Really great action in these, and a bit more complex of a story than Demon Slayer

Ufotable is unparalleled with their combination of 2D and 3D techniques. Man someday if you could see one of their older shows like Garden of Sinners itll be so cool I think you'd like it

They're called UFOtable for a reason. Out of this world visuals. A little more information about the studio. They typically only work on a couple projects/animes at a time, while only releasing one at a time (i.e. Demon Slayer has been the only anime they've been releasing in the last 5 years). This allows them to pour all their resources and time into them to make them as beautiful as possible. Production times vary, from 1-3 years, and typically won't announce release dates until the project is complete or close to complete so that there's little to no delays in release. Looking forward to your reaction to the more intricate action scenes in this show. You'll definitely be blown away.
