Can’t say. I’ve never read or seen Kingdom. I would recommend him Berserk, but the manga is better than both the anime adaptations. Even though the 90s version is good. But the 2016 one is an abomination.

Lmao “brainstorm what is similar to this that will be replacement worthy” man, I hate to break it to you, but there is nothing similar to this. The closest thing I can think of is AoT in terms of emotionality and storytelling. But, of course, you’ve already watched AoT. So, I really don’t know.

Dude, you are so spoiled is not even funny. We wish we got the level of S2 animation for other shows. It's lower quality compared to S1 sure, but it's still above average. If we're gonna talk I consider Vinland Saga S1 having a lower quality compared to some seasons of AOT but I'm not here pretending they're trash. The fact is that WIT studio doesnt want to deal with Vinland Saga anymore, be grateful that a team os taking (the same team btw, they just changed studios) with more than enough quality.

Maybe you remember but it seems like you don’t, but you reacted to this opening around the time this season aired and you basically said the exact same things about the song😂. It’s intriguing to see how someone feels about the same thing months later, especially if they don’t remember and for you it seems like 1 year later your musical opinions haven’t changed 😂

There's an acoustic version of this opening called (Awakening) with some great string and piano work that's much better imo.

I know exactly what I am saying. Unlike some, I am not blinded by my love for the show. S1 was superior all around, visually. With S2 you better be prepared for lack of details on faces that are medium distance away or more. That and Thorfinn looks like ass after the 1st ep. Low quality hair etc.. But you pretend I guess.

I am not the biggest fan of this opening myself(other than the visuals) but I am sure u will like the opening for the second half. It’s done by the same band who did s1’s first opening “mukanjyo”

It's not the same situation as AOT. Vinland Saga season 2 is still done by the same team they're just doing it under Mappa now as opposed to AOT which completely switched teams.

This arc is incredible in terms of overall development and character writing and I'm excited for you to react to it. The opening song isn't the best but I appreciate that it matches the overall thematic ideas of s2. The ending theme on the other hand is reallyy good imo and matches the tone of s2 even more.

S1 was made by Wit Studio and S2 by MAPPA. Same production trajectory that AOT took. MAPPA just collecting all bangers under its hood.

yeah you weren't a fan of the op back during multi-OP 4 (rest in peace to that video), so not surprised that you're still not big on it. For me it works as an opening specifically because of how it works with the visual presentation but not a song I'd have in the playlist

Maybe they said that but were not given the same resources maybe? Because you can see quality drop when compared to S1. Still amazing show, but should be getting same treatment that AoT and JJK is getting and if they cant keep up then give it back to WIT since they are in a better position now than they were a year or two ago.

Sadly only the intro is visually stunning. You can tell they gave Vinland S2 to the B team for animation when comparing to the first season. They really need to give the project back to WIT Studio if they are not going to treat it good.

Einars dad probably was just a normal farmer, trying to protect his family from attacking warrior and then being killed by them. Meaning: His father doesn't really hold any real significance ;) But it is important that including his dad Einars whole family was killed by warriors.

I'm gonna let you know just cause it has absolutely no consequence to the story and is not a spoiler. Einar's dad does not factor in at all in terms of his identity. He was just a normal dude. I don't think Einar ever brings him up again except maybe in passing.
