The animation / fights get even better moving forward. This show is pretty dang fun. I think some people sort of think that simple = bad when it comes to stories, so some of the criticism comes from that.

The story is simple(kill bad guys, save sister ), but it is still entertaining. Characters are likable and the villains can be quite intimidating And the visuals of course are amazing in this Anime. Audio is also superb. People tend to hate stuff, that are popular for no particular reason.

The show is cool as fuck, but that’s all it is. It’s epic action with clean animation and cool music. If you want more from it, you’ll be disappointed. But if what you want is killing demons, this is for you. It’s certainly no Vinland Saga

I think there is some stuff you've yet to see that bothers some people and I think those interactions are a valid criticism, but they absolutely do not disqualify the entire show from being as great as it is. I think you might also get a little annoyed at those parts, but I don't think it will ruin the whole show for you. Sometimes you gotta eat an ingredient you don't like in an otherwise amazing dish.

Demon slayer has really traditional Japanese music as its theme and it works so well but what your gonna notice is that different characters will get different music tied to them. I hope you like the show and it’s music

I mean, i dont think it should get hate but what a lot of people complain about it is how much some people overhype it when it is as generic as it is. Thats not to take away from how well it is produced, but that it is carried by the animation. It is kind of like Solo Leveling, which got as popular as it did mainly because of the art. Thats not to say either show cant be enjoyable (i like both), but it is the reason a lot of people criticize it.

One cool thing about this studio (Ufotable) is that they have some of the best working conditions and pay in the industry. One of the few studios that actually has salaried workers as opposed to contract (kyoto animation also does this). Goes to show you don't have to abuse your workers to make good looking art

I'm so happy you're enjoying this! This is my second favorite anime. It's just incredible. I've seen it to its completion point at the current moment. 15 plus times most with different reactors but I'm so glad that one of my favorite reactors finally got to it

You said it yourself it's simple and has great fights. The Visuals and audio hard carry that up to the top. the story itself is pretty generic and nothing new. Though that's basically the same for most Shonen now a days. I'm not saying it's not popular just that it's hard carried thanks to Ufotable.

Everybody knows about the visuals, but the music side deserves some love too. Go Shiina is my favorite composer and I notice his influence in this episode's OST. In particular, the moments in the confrontation with Campbell's chunky chicken noodle-arm demon.

Manga’s meh, but the anime’s soooo well done. Aside from the obviously fantastic animation, the camera, the pacing, and a lot of other cinematic elements are just top notch amongst animes. Truly a well executed shounen.

Ya I think a lot of people dislike the anime because its super popular. Sure the story isn't revolutionary but its a very fun watch with beautiful art. Honestly people just project the fanbase onto the anime.

What particularly gets me about the colors is how moderately saturated they are. Compared to some other stuff you're watching right now like Steins;Gate or FMAB for example - I'm not saying those shows are ugly, but super washed out compared to this, palette wise.

I partially agree. Yea visuals are definitely one of the main reasons, but there are a lot of other shows that have stunning visuals and are nowhere near as popular as demon slayer because the story may be bad etc. Demon slayer is shonen, simple and fun story with great fights that get transcendent throughout the visuals. That’s why it’s so god damn enjoyable and it’s one for the most popular animes out there.
