fun fact: Ex:Machina shares its name with a comic series by the same name by Brian K. Vaughan (indie comic royalty at this point) and Tony Harris which is getting a movie adaption too anime wise "Ergo Proxy" has an interesting spin on AI, which shares some similarities with what Ex:Machina (2014) does

They did fairly well with telling a story within 8 episodes, and this episode with Malcom's backstory was interesting and did not feel rushed at all. Is there going to be something to replace Terminator 0 after next week?

Honestly, this might be my favorite episode of the show. If you are interested in another story that involves an AI learning to be more like a human, there is a 2014 live action film by the name of "Ex Machina" that you might enjoy.
