yeah i was pretty worried about that too hope he sticks through it cuz re zero is amazing man.. tho i was loving it from the start and i see the way some might feel but trust me in the end. it all makes sense

I feel like if y'all stopped hyping it up so much it'd be easier to get through. Like calling an episode "the best single episode of any anime you've seen in the past 2 years" is absolutely an impossible expectation. And saying X episode is gonna be the one to hook him also sets an expectation that now if it isn't met is probably just gonna turn him off the show even more.

Yeah on this one I was very very close to dropping the show around this point when I watched it. I couldn’t handle some of the cringe. But there is good payoff once you clear through it. It’s sort of a “trust me bro” type of thing

Damn that’s too bad 😭 I think if you reach a very close upcoming episode you’ll be hooked and season 2 and 3 have both been my favourite anime of the year they came out (S3 being this year)

Hey just wondering, I know you’ve voiced a few problems with Re:Zero but you’re not thinking of dropping it right? A lot of how you’re feeling is intentional and the author himself has said that until over halfway in S1 he doesn’t view the story as having even begun yet
