I'm super late to this but, yeah that scene with the blue flare Jinx is holding up, so good just as is, but then how it ties in with EP 3 when Vi gave the flare to powder, and told her to light it up and she would find her....gah, so damn good

The creepy scientist is named Singed, though I don't know if his name is ever actually said in the show. Also, I don't know if you remembered, but he's the same scientist who was helping Silco create the shimmer drug during Act I.

Not sure whether you noticed, but the scientist in this episode is the same one that creates Shimmer for Silco (shown mainly in the scene where they fed it to a rat who then killed a cat), and what he did to Rio is presumably a precursor to what ultimately became Shimmer.

So not only did Jinx keep the flare that Vi told her would let her find again “wherever she was” when they were kids, but look at the tattoos Jinx has on her right side… it’s exact same pattern. She always wanted her sister back, despite everything. These writers are too good at writing tragedies, man… Btw, idk if you ever noticed/pointed it out, but many of the episode titles are lyrics of the songs you hear in the episodes.
